An absolute Portland experience. There is no 24 hour fast food besides this one that is worth driving for. Getting a fat Sammy, a side and a can of soda for 11$ at 4:20 AM is our part of the American dream. The apple fries are a fever dream of foodie/stoner/carnival perfection: actual batonnet of green apple, battered and deep fried, with caramel sauce and powdered sugar. They came out crispy, hot, and with the crunch of fresh fruit. Highly recommended.

went here for the first time and it was pretty good. it's open 24 hours which is super convenient and something needed in the area. we got burgers, tots, and onion rings. they really load you up on the sides. i always get tots whenever they're available anywhere and this place beats most in quantity. we'll definitely be back. they had great service typical for burger places where you go up to order and they call you to get your food when it's ready. it was done really quick too but they have pawn stars playing so the wait has nothing on me.

Yum!!! So good fast and friendly service. Fries are the best! My son finished his quick and wanted more. Very reasonably priced. Family of four with drinks under $50

It was quite an interesting visit on our first time going to Sammy‘s. It’s a funky place. And it’s amazing that everything on the burger menu - no matter how many toppings you get - is only eight bucks. And make it a combo: which gets you any of the burger choices plus fries or tots and a soda for only two bucks more! It’s crazy that you get such a huge amount of sides for just $10 along with your burger, total. You have to get a combo no matter what! Now the burger itself we were disappointed in - I hate to say. I wish they wouldn’t try to do a smash burger style burger with it because it’s so thin it ends up just too crispy. And there was way too much of their fry sauce on the burger to really enjoy it. If they kind of stuck to diner style cooking on the burger itself and had less sauce, this would be a good “Mike’s drive-in” style burger. The shake was pretty good. My son liked it. And I know that they can mix three different flavors into one shake if you want that. So, the prices are great. The service is excellent and the food quality is kind of in the middle. But you get a lot for your money. So, if you’re hungry and want a lot for your $ and are okay with 3 star food quality, it’s a pretty good place to stop by. Especially after midnight.

Best Burger joint in town. Amazing prices and lots of options. Convenient location and that old school diner feel. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Sammys!

Ok, reading some of these reviews while I was waiting for my food really had me LOL. First of all, having a 24 hr/late not option that isn't McDs or BK is great. The food is made to order and the portions are hella large. Seriously, I ordered a $10 burger/fry/drink combo at 12AM and couldn't finish it in one go. The soda in the combo is a can, so you can save for later if you want to. The fry side is very large, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I couldn't keep my fingers out of my to-go box between the restaurant and my house in Woodstock. I got the cheesey burger which lived up to its name. There was also no up charge to swap grilled onions and add pickles. Finally, the combo came with my choice of two sauces, fry sauce, ranch, etc. On top of all that the service was fast and friendly. They take cards but you can't leave tip electronically, so bring a couple bucks for that, if you'd like. I was told tipping isn't expected but I seriously appreciate having this late night option. I'll be back and bring some friends.
